Getting back to the color palette! Last time I introduced you some tips on using shades of blue, well, know it is time for yellow! Yellow always reminds me palms, beach, sunny summer day, probably this is why I always relate it to L.A., but even if you live in any other place on the world you can still wear it, haha. Nice combination of yellow can always add you confidence and make your eyes look brighter.
Shades of yellow became extremely popular this summers season. Banana yellow, citrus, corn, fluorescent, gold. Any shade is possible to use, just have to pick the right occasion and outfit. I have picked five items from this years collections, which I absolutely love. Shorts are perfect length to enjoy both: sunbathing on the beach and walking down the street. Whereas Alexander McQueen's blazer is a perfect piece for an evening go out! Shoes I added won't be the best choice for evening, but they will look really stylish and comfortable during the day, or even at work (of course if you don't work in a bank or government). Zara's sweater is very calm, which makes it great for work or a day time cocktail. Belt, which looks similar to the one I showed you, would be a great investment, it suits every time of the day and it looks really fashionable, doesn't it?
Find your yellow piece of clothing, won't be disappointed, promise you. You know, nothing feels better than bringing beach in to the city!

Mauri Müller- opinion brings the fashion

Extremely artistic, elegant and edgy look. I'm presenting you a socialite and blogger Mauri Müller ( http://www.mau-fashion.com/ ). The reason why I took the idea of interview with Mauri is that his look really stands out of the rest and carries own original story. Interest in Elin Kling's work, personal opinion and fashion industry, mix of different styles for the result of authenticity.

1.What was the reason you started writing your blog?

The main reason was that I wanted to inform myself more about fashion. After a while I started noticing that my personal view on fashion seems to interest other people. That feeling was great and so I went on blogging. 

2.Summarise your style in one sentence.

I like to wear what I want and mix up different styles to combine a complete new one.

3.Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

I love Elin Kling, because she manages to bring a male edge in her female style. I sometimes do it vice versa and mix up a male style with female details. 

4.What is your favorite item you have?

I have to say I love my Prada bag because I worked and saved up hard to be able to buy it. It always reminds me how beautiful it is being able to afford something.

5.What are your goals for the future?

I want to be able to combine fun and work. I love what I do right now and I hope that it will always be that way. I think I could not handle having a job that I am not interested in.

Mamma mia

Hello my dear readers! I thought, that probably it is time to get you introduced with my personal life :). Today, while I was searching for new fashion places downtown, I came across this interesting cafe! From the other side of the road I could already smell coffee & cupcakes there was no way I could go further without stopping by. This lovely place offers a big variety of vine, coffee, cakes and other unique grocery items. It makes an impression of one of those lovely places which are situated on a calm street and you can come there and relax after the busy work week. Definitely it is now on the list of my places, haha. On one of the nearby streets there is also an art bookshop. You can find there a lot of books about: music, cinema, fashion, design. I found few about Men's fashion icons and Gentleman fashion guide, after reading few paragraphs in those books I can say, that these books can be an inspiration for every urban dandy there is.

TOPMAN S/S 2013

While we enjoy our cocktails and fresh fruit juices somewhere on the beach or near the pool during the sunny summer day, designers work hard and present ideas about what we could wear next year. Today I would like to speak about Topman's next years S/S 2013 collection. What will be fashionable according to world's famous retailing brand? 

There are three main parts on which focuses Topman- prints, colors and skateboards. Well, colors are rather very important detail for the season, because we are speaking about the spring and summer. Season, when we all want to look extremely colorful because of the sun. Colors will suite you great for different occasions, but you should always think about the shade. Remember, different occasions- different shades. I would suggest rather avoiding bright colors for the business meeting, or choosing rather darker shade of the color.

If we move on to the prints, this tendency became extremely popular this season. A lot of people ran to the shops for a palm printed shirt. Topman thought about extending this idea for the next season as well, why not? Althought there are some changes. This season we are rather choosing very sharp prints of the item, correct and direct. Next seasons choice- blurred motives, which would even remind mixed work of avant-gardists and impressionist. As you see from the photos, designers suggest separating items apart. Only one printed piece of clothing and some basic items with it. Making a multi print outfit should be done extremely carefully as you often can make a huge mistake. If you are in love with prints and want to make a multi print look then follow the tip shown on one of the pics below. You can see an outfit with chaotic grey and blue shaded dots (interesting print idea, definitely suggest it) and it consists of dotted blazer and shorts, why it isn't a mistake and we see all the details perfectly? Shorts and blazer go here as one piece, white basic shirt at the centre of the outfit separates those pieces and we get a clear story. If the shirt would also be printed, outfit would lose.

Now I finally got to the skateboards part. Actually, as you definitely see from the streets, skaters come back to our life. Of course it is a remarkable symbol of young and sporty people. Carrying it with you, like Topman suggests, or riding it wearing a nice dotted shirt can make you feel as if you are part of street art, culture. Can make you a part of the game.

Fashion in sports | concept of Slounge

London Olympics is not the last topic involving sports you hear from me, haha! I really got into this theme, it is really nice, that different sportswear brands are working on providing comfort and fashion in one piece of clothing. 

Today I'm presenting you Freddy. Sportswear brand providing great solutions for above stated reasons.   Who told you, that going to the gym or having a nice barbecue weekend can't be stylish? Of course it can and it is! Fashion is about giving solutions on what to wear for different occasions, which also involve relaxing at weekends or getting sweaty at the gym. Freddy can definitely be your guide in succeeding at this type of activities. 

At the moment brand is working on Slounge concept which means mix of sport and loungewear. As you see from the pictures, base colors in the style are kept simple and calm representing loungewear. However, you can notice popping bright details which are the perfect stand-by for dynamic necessary for reaching your goal in any sports you are being involved in, whether you are athlete with tons of golden medals, or just you are dreaming about becoming one. 

One of the greatest parts about this branch in fashion is that you don't have to be so strict when picking the sportswear outfit as if you would choosing a formal wear. It has to stay eclectic and free. Especially if you collect pieces for your outfit in one particular brand you will usually get the look you are trying to achieve perfectly. Don't forget about the aim of your look, you should always think, whether you capture the movement moment or not. How you can do that? You should focus on the lines, sports as well as lounge wear usually contain zippers which are really noticeable and it becomes the base line of the outfit stretching your figure and giving the first sign of any movement happening in your look. Coming back to this photo shoot I enjoy the idea represented on one of the hoodies shown on the 6-7 pictures. Zipper is slightly falling to the side. It becomes a good balance for simple bottom, outfit doesn't lose its temper. 

Remember, fashion is not a synonym only for fancy go out, it is your everyday routine, so get stylish with Slounge concept by Freddy. Who knows, maybe you are our next big athlete.

 

Color palette

Good morning for every fashionista who gets out of his bed or already drinks coffee near the laptop reading f.affiche! ha ha.

My todays topic is - colors. As all of you know, wearing different shades of the same color in one outfit is definitely a hit for this season. I would like to share with you some tips which could help you look awesome and maybe could add a little spark in to your outfit. My todays color is blue. Why blue? Perhaps I focus on this color most this season. 

Wearing blue during summer holidays definitely reminds us the sea, ocean. Purchasing blue shaded item for your seasonal wardrobe could be a good investment for other years, as I said, shades of this color perfectly represent Marine theme which makes it a good finding for every seasons summer. If you get bored or fatigued with one color outfit you can always add white and red accents which will make it timeless trendy Tommy Hilfiger inspired look.

Amsterdam gone couture | Scotch & Soda

Amsterdam became one of my favorite destinations for different aspects. It's very modern, but at the same time classical European city which is rapidly growing to achieve fashion city title. I'm really happy to present you Amsterdam based fashion brand- Scotch & Soda. Numerous work is done everyday by the designers of Scotch & Soda in order to achieve the best result possible- style and quality for perfect price.
Their goal is to suit every individual and they are doing quite good. They offer good ideas for everyday look at the city, but at the same time they have perfect combinations for beach go out, like pastel bag together with nice flip-flops and slim fit chinos. I have always thought, that designers should somehow represent their countries in their designs. Good example for that could be Burberry. Scotch & Soda does the perfect work towards that as well, which makes people wanna believe in their work.
I have picked few items from Number Eight designed by Scotch & Soda. My pick consists of: double layer short sleeve V-neck, chino and elegant fragrance.
I would like to start with V-neck. As I said before it can be a great pick for the usual day in the city. Double layer shirts are always very masculine and this V-neck shirt has a great cut which makes it tight fit, but at the same time comfortable.
If we talk about Chino, it has a nice filled blue color which can be great for summer days as well as early autumn. Chino isn't extremely demanding so it can go together well with most of the items.
Going further, why have I picked the fragrance as a good purchase? It doesn't matter if we speak about women or men, fragrance represents your character. Barfly Eau De Toilette is the first Scotch & Soda fragrance and it is a good option. Citrus-herb, lavender, jasmine, sandal- cedar wood and Madagascar Vanilla make your day calm, but elegant and enjoyable.

Olympics & Fashion collaboration

London Olympics have really enrolled us in its atmosphere. Rush, competition, culture, health, everything that makes people believe in their athletes. Everything that makes us wanna cheer and be happy. I'm really excited to present you today the incredible photo shoot, which has been done in collaboration between Karlie Kloss and America's top male athletes for American Vogue.

Article, which explains the stories of different athletes. You get to know deeply stories of those, who have dedicated all their life to one particular goal they wanted to achieve. Stories definitely keep you interested till the end, you start to believe how many effort does it take to achieve life time intention. Article is out in the magazine in Junes edition so for sure you should buy the magazine and read it :).

If we go to the photo shoot, as I said before, it was a great idea to capture fashionable spark in sports and also sustain athletes in London Olympics. As I see it, Annie Leibovitz captured the spark between Karlie and sportsmen for sure. Dynamic is seen in every single shot, different sports and different looks. Despite the fact, that model is in dress and athletes in sports clothing, their outfits work together. We can't say that someones look has less energy and has a back role. 

Even if we look from merchandising side on this shoot, who wouldn't want to buy sports clothing if he would also stand near the Karlie? As well as which woman wouldn't want to be that cleopatra near the athletes?
